I can not get this fucking thing to pair to the PS3.
- It is charged up.
- I power on the PS3.
- Put the small end of the usb directly into the headset, put the USB port into the PS3.
- It says power should light up green for 2 seconds. It isn't, it just blinks red around mute then goes out.

Did you guys do it this way or that Bluetooth way? Do you just have to have the PS3 on, or did you have it on and running Socom?

thanks. Suspect

I know you said you are powering on the ps3, but are you powering on the headset?

Turn the headset on and then plug the cable into the headset and the usb end into the powered on ps3. The light should turn green after a second or two and then stay green for about two seconds.

you need to HOLD IN the power button until it starts blinking.

you'll hold in the power button.. it will turn on. keep holding... then it will start blinking around the mute and power lights.

thats when you do the scan for bluetooth device.

Different from what i did, but i think you are describing a different way. I just paired directly with the headset.

Razr did the USB version.

Thorn did the Bluetooth pairing.

From what you guys have described, I really don't think I was turning on the headset first.

charge up the headset.
turn on the PS3.
turn on the headset (hold down power for 3 seconds).
put small usb part directly into headset.
put larger usb part into ps3.

Sheesh. Our young man grew up fast. Only 3 days with a PS3 and he is a drunken master.

*sniff sniff*
